The University of Nevada, Reno's Nevada Career Studio and the College of Business' Student Outreach Center are hosting career and internship fairs open to all students. These events are designed to help student gain interviewing skills, build their resumes and get connected with employers.
The Nevada Career Studio's 2016 Career & Internship Expo is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 in the Glick Ballrooms at the Joe Crowley Student Union. Over 100 employers are registered to attend and will include representatives from on-campus and off-campus employers such as the University's Center for Student Engagement, Bank of America, the Nevada Discovery Museum and more. The College of Business' All Majors Career & Internship Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3 in Lawlor Events Center. Last fall's event included 90 employers promoting their companies and available internships, part-time and full-time positions.
The All Majors Career & Internship Fair will be preceded by the Prepare for the Fair event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 in the Glick Ballrooms at the Joe. This event will include stations for students to strengthen their professional portfolio through resume critiques, mock interviews, professional dress etiquette and more. Approximately 100 students who attended last fall's event found employment.
